CMIS for Image Services

CMIS for Image Services provides a Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) server to access your IBM FileNet Image Services systems.

Core features
  • Provides a CMIS 1.0 compatible server layer over your Image Services libraries

  • Supports creation, retrieval and update of Image Services data and content via a CMIS 1.0 compatible client such as IBM Content Navigator

Benefits
  • Allows you to use IBM Content Navigator (ICN) to work with folders and documents stored in Image Services

  • Provides a simple model for using ICN with Image Services and your other repositories with no synchronisation of data that would be needed with CFS-IS or other solutions.

  • Provides a read only and a modifiable version of the service to assist in controlling licensing

IBM Content Navigator provides a rich delivery model for accessing multiple repositories. Until now, there was no simple way to integrate your Image Services repository with your other repositories unless you migrated or synchronised data. By providing a CMIS interface over Image Services you can now use a publicly available interface and integrate Image Services into all your applications, simply, using the same technique. You don’t need to understand various connector technologies and multiple web server topologies. You don’t need to maintain resources and capabilities that are no longer popular or have become expensive, and you can use the latest technology with all of the assets you’ve spent years acquiring.

CMIS for IS helps you keep your Image Services solutions current without overhead.
